Holiday Painting Update - Day Two

Today I made a little more impact on the lead mountain that I bought to Cornwall with me.

This morning I was up bright and early, so at about 07:00 I made a start on the highlights of the two Bolt Action Burmese Scouts that I had base-coated and washed yesterday. In pretty much no time at all I had these pair finished.

The one on the right has not actually photographed that well, but I hope to be able to get some better images once I get home and get the bases and matt varnish done.

Victoria and I went to Fifteen Cornwall for a slap up breakfast, very nice indeed, I had the Da Bara Bakery’s sourdough with Clarence Court scrambled egg, mushrooms, spicy beans and Newlina’s wild rocket, a glass of fresh Grapefruit juice and we followed up sharing a Press pot of Finca Shekinah coffee.

After breakfast we had a walk on the beach at Watergate Bay and then on to Padstowe for a walk round the town and harbour.

When we got back I cracked on with the highlights on those Shieldwall Miniatures Viking Bowmen. Before tea, I had eight of these completed apart from the bases and varnishing that will be done when I got home.

Finally I finished off the base-coat on those Artizan Viking Hirdmen that I have bought to paint for Lee. These also got a coat of Vallejo Sepia Wash.

  3. Thanks chaps, it's been a productive week away. I've done a dozen Japanese and two Burmese for Bolt action and then 28 Vikings for Saga.
I did bring two boxes of Perry Miniatures French Hussars to paint but forgot to bring my plastic glue with me - doofus!
