A few more Desert Rats

I received a box of Perry Miniatures Desert Rats from my parents for Christmas, along with a couple of 3" mortars, a couple of Vickers machine guns and a pack of small-packs. On Boxing Day I got these all assembled and given a coat of primer.

Enthused by our game of I Ain't Been Shot Mum on Saturday, I came home and made a start on eight of the Desert Rats infantry and finished off the bases yesterday evening.

These were painted in my standard method, that can be found here.

This takes me up to 569 28mm figures painted in 2013 - not a bad haul at all.

Sorry the images are so shonky, due to poor light this time of year I shot them in the garden between breaks in the rain!

  1. These are some great looking fellows again! 569 figures? That's quite a lot.

  2. Thanks, I painted another 4 Desert Rats this afternoon, but the bases are not done yet so they can go on 2014's figure :)

  3. I'm impressed 569 figures - I wouldn't know where to start counting my totals for the year. Well less than a hundred all told.
Your painted Desart Rats look great - i'll have to add them to my to do list for 2014, along with the africa korps and then the .......
    cheers

    1. Thanks, I've already made a kick start on 2013 with 12 figures just needing the bases doing already. I may have a crack at another 4 after lunch.

  4. Very nice. You were productive in 2013, best in the new year. Looking forward to seeing your Perry figs on the table.
