Holiday Painting Update - Days Three and Four

Yesterday was pretty busy, we spent most of the day at the Eden Project, a great day out but not a lot of scope for painting. However, as usual I was up at 'sparrows fart' and managed to get the last four Shieldwall Viking archers and the four Shieldwall Viking Berserkers both base-coated and washed with Vallejo Sepia wash before we went out.

That was pretty much it for yesterday. However, today was much more productive.

Again I had an early start and managed to do the highlights on the four Artizan Viking Hirdmen that I am painting for Lee

I'm also painting eight Foundry Viking Berserkers, four of which will be for Lee, I managed to get the the base-coat and Sepia wash on these before we went out for lunch.

Lunch was a rather splendid feast at Fifteen Cornwall. It's our wedding anniversary this weekend, so the boat was pushed out. We started with an appetiser of olives, I then had the Crespelle followed by the Nemesis with Blood Orange, very nice indeed.

We got back and walked off the excess of lunch with a couple of hours along the South West Coastal Path lovely scenery and the sun was shining, but a proper blow from offshore.

When we got back I polished off the highlights on the lovely Shieldwall Miniatures Vikings and Berserkers. Now to settle down to some supper and watch the BRITS (going "who's that" & "never heard of them").

  3. Thank you. I hope to get some better pictures done at home after the bases have been finished.
I have spoke to John and he hopes to release the Shieldwall Vikings at Salute.
